PHASE 1 STEP 3 - IDENTIFY ALTERNATIVE SOLUTIONS THROUGH LITERACY REVIEWS

1)    Launch an awareness campaign on the importance of vaccines in preventing Covid-19

Through an awareness campaign on the importance of this vaccine, it can to some extent make the public aware of the benefits of getting Covid-19 vaccine injection and the effects if most of us refusing to take it. This campaign should be known by all Malaysians throughout the country and it including rural areas. The best and most efficient way to spread this campaign is through mass media such as television and radio broadcasts and through the internet. This is because in this modern age, almost all Malaysians have gadgets that help in daily life. In addition, campaigns in each state are also encouraged so that the rural population can find out about the problems that will occur if some Malaysians do not take the Covid-19 vaccines.

 

2)    Establishment of authorities to detect those who use fake vaccine certificates

In reducing the spread of Covid-19 virus which is becoming more prevalent in Malaysia, many authorities need to take action to overcome this problem. For example,

the authorities need to conduct periodic inspections on visitors who enter some place. This is because, there are those who still do not get or refuse to take Covid-19 vaccine injections have visited various premises even though the government has determined that everyone must complete two Covid-19 vaccine injections to be free going anywhere. Things like this should not be underestimated because it is one of the factors that contribute to the increase in cases of Covid-19 virus infection.

 

3)    Provide early exposure about the benefits of vaccines to students

Educators also have an important role to play in overcoming the problem of anti -vaccine. Among them, the school should provide some facts about the need for vaccines in the history of the development of human civilization to students while in school because the school is a second home for students where a lot of time is spent with friends. Not only that, the school also needs to create better health education in the student syllabus to explain the negative effects of not taking Covid-19 vaccine especially among students who do not have strong body immunity. Teachers who teach must have experience so that lessons can be implemented well and not misunderstood by students.

 

4)    The role of parents

Parents also play a role in preventing misunderstandings about vaccines among their children at home. Parents should often advise their children on the importance of taking Covid-19 vaccine injections to curb the spread of the pandemic. Parents should also be aware of technological advances such as mobile phones and the internet that make it easier for everyone to find information as fast as lightning just by using their fingertips as this causes many unwanted things to happen especially among children. Today's internet mediums and websites are able to influence those who are still in this growing phase. Due to that, parents need to be sensitive to the social activities of their children so that they do not get caught up with this problem by monitoring the use of mobile phones so that negative websites such as the dissemination of unauthentic information cannot be accessed.

 

5)   Choosing the right peers

 In the meantime, the selection of the right peers can also be used as one of the measures to overcome the problem of misunderstanding of the Covid-19 vaccine from continuing to spread among the Malaysian community, especially adolescents. The peer influence factor among today's young people is also increasing due to the existence of increasingly sophisticated technology in this era of modernization. This is because every advanced technology made in this modern era is capable of producing an interaction between humans and makes it easier for us to get to know each other through this smart technology. Young people should be taught from a young age to choose friends who have a good attitude and culture. For example, adolescents should be encouraged to always make a good association by choosing peers who are able to push them in a more positive direction and have awareness of the aspect of general knowledge especially about the Covid-19 vaccine. They must also understand that taking Covid-19 vaccine injections is important and has many benefits.

 

6)       Give help to clueless people that in need

The thing is not every people in our country knows exactly about vaccines, and the truth of it and its purpose. We as a person who acknowledge about the benefits of the vaccines should help people who doesn’t know about it. For example, old people are a bit illiterate of what happened nowadays. We should enlighten them with the knowledge of vaccines so that they are aware of the danger of Covid-19, and help to not spreading the virus to others. Besides, we also need to help the people who lives in outback since the supply is a bit slow. The government provide more supply for those people so that more people knows the advantages of vaccines that can save more people in our country. The more people receive vaccines, more people will learn that vaccines is compulsory.

 

 

7)      Strengthen the country ordinance

All provisions that related to vaccines on offenses committed by anti-vaccines should be punish. The people who share the fake news about the vaccines effect need to be arrested. The example of fake news such as the person who get vaccines will become zombie, or will be dead in 2 years, or even the government putting chip in our body. Government should strengthen the law such as everybody who wants to get in the shop need to vaccinated before get in. this will make more people to be open and accept the covid-19 vaccines for the sake of their freedom. The people who doesn’t get vaccinated yet will feel a lot pressure and burden because the can’t do much thing when they get outside from the house. In addition, there are also people who fake their vaccine’s certificate such as what happened recently. The authorities that are responsible should take action on the case to avoid stop the virus from spreading and to help people to accept the Covid-19 vaccines.

 

 

8)       Make activities and program to increase the acceptance of vaccines

Construct education program, advocation, and helps center about Covid-19 Vaccines. This factor can assemble more people to be open to the vaccines and learn about it. Every question that are play in one’s mind can easily be asked to the person who works in that program. The huge agencies should influence more people in getting the vaccines such of what WHO which is World Health Organization do for the COVAX program. Vaccines action plan should be magnified more.

9)       Blocking all the activities of Antivax

The Anti-vaccine or commonly known as Antivax will do anything to spread their ignorant knowledge to make people believes their info. For example, the antivax will spread the false info in their social media, so we as people who know about it should educate them by replying the truth so every people will not be influenced by their nonsense. Besides, we need to report any anti-vaccine’s program that were held to the responsible authorities. In addition, if we know any of our member who are antivax, we need to avoid him and tell people near him that their information about badness of vaccines if not true. The move that were made by government which the unvaccinated person can’t go inside certain place is the best idea which made them slowly or somehow will accept the Vaccines.

 

 

10)    Make the appointment to be more simple

One of the causes making people to hate vaccines is the registration system which to complicated and slow. The system should be easier since it doesn’t only involve young people but also old people who are not really good in using advance technology. Some people wait for 3 months to get the vaccines and there also some complaint that they waited for 5 months after registration but still have no answer. Moreover, the place to get the vaccines sometimes is a bit nonsense because the distance is too much from a person house. Some complaint that they need to drive 10km to get to the vaccines place which is too far. To make people to be more acceptance to the vaccines, the government should make it easier for them to have it.
